Artful Palate: Where Art Meets Flavor

Artful Palate is Bismarck Art & Galleries Association’s signature art-inspired culinary and mixology experience—an evening where visual art, creative cuisine, and handcrafted cocktails come together in an unforgettable, multi-sensory celebration.

At the heart of the event are collaborative teams made up of an artist, a chef, and a mixologist. Each team is inspired by a single work of art, transforming color, texture, and mood into a thoughtfully paired appetizer and cocktail. Guests move from station to station, sampling each creation and voting for their favorites throughout the night.

Meet the Teams

This year’s event features five creative collaborations:

• Artist Peter Wax, Chef Zachary Achtenberg of Das Mountain, and Mixologist Michael Kashey of Thomas & Moriarty’s

• Artist AJ Bauers, Chef Emily Eckroth of The Jousting Lemur, and Mixologist Stephanie Morales of The Jousting Lemur

• Artist Jessica Headrick, Chef Jhoel Gallego of Auntie Jade’s Catering, and Mixologist Piper Bjornsen of 510.2 Speakeasy

• Artist Shane Ornelas, Chef Zach Zeightly of The Paddle Trap, and Mixologist Natalie Eslinger of Shakers on 3rd

• Artist Johnathan Campbell, Chef Ryan and Andrea Hensley of Hensley’s Tasty Truck, and Mixologist Tanya Johnson of Old Town Tavern

Beyond the tastings, Artful Palate features live music and opportunities to meet and mingle with the artists and culinary creatives—all in support of BAGA’s mission to promote, support, and celebrate the arts in our community.
